CCA Makers of Modern Series

In Typography 2 class, I designed the covers for a series of three books from the CCA's Makers of Modern collection, which focuses on the work of architects Frank Gehry, Louis Sullivan, and Richard Neutra. To capture the spirit of architecture, I used large condensed letterforms to mimic buildings beneath very linear and geometric text. I also set the elements within thin white lines to produce a visual reminiscent of a blueprint. I found that the Univers type family worked best for creating this effect.
